He was born May 11, 1927, in St. Petersburg, to the late Bryan P. and Mirriam Fairman Fisher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII.

He was a school teacher and an administrator for 20 years. He was a fire and hazardous materials instructor at Texas Extension Service. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a Presbyterian. Survivors: son, Bryan P. Fisher III of Shiner; and one grandchild.

FREDERICK L. YOUNG JR. NIXON Frederick Lee Young 64, of Nixon, died Sunday, March 10, 2002. He was born April 1, 1937, in Nixon, to the late Frederick Lee Sr. and Annie Martha Smith Young.

He was a truck driver. Survivors: wife, Regina C. Young; daughter, Doreen Styra of Cuero; sons, Andy Young of Houston, Rodney Young of Austin, Donald Young and Mark Young, both of Nixon; sisters, Lily Helen Mines of San Antonio, Joyce Black of Nixon, Martha Young of Victoria and Nona Ruth Appleton of Flint, brothers, James Roland Young of Nixon and Henry Young of Cuero; 14 grandchildren; and I three great ndchildren. Preceded in death by: parents. A memorial service will be 2 p.m.
