The highly anticipated Maddock Supernatural Universe movie Munjya was finally released on June 7, 2024. Many viewers flocked to the cinemas to watch the CGI supernatural creature and Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya cameo in the post-credit scene. Those who haven’t caught the film in theatres are wondering Munjya’s OTT release date and time.

What is Munjya’s OTT release date & platform?
Munjya, the latest addition to the Maddock Supernatural Universe, has captivated audiences with its blend of horror and comedy. It follows the footsteps of its predecessors, Stree (2018), Roohi (2021), and Bhediya (2022). Overall, Munjya offers a fresh take on Marathi folklore. The film revolves around a boy called Munjya who becomes a ghost before marrying a girl named Munni.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and starring Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, and Sathyaraj, Munjya has been a box-office hit and is now gearing up for its OTT release. According to recent reports, Munjya’s digital rights have been acquired by Disney+ Hotstar, continuing the trend of Bollywood films making a swift transition to streaming platforms. In other words, Munjya will be available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar after its theatrical run concludes.

For those wondering about Munjya’s OTT release date, the film is expected to premiere on the platform approximately two months after its theatrical release, likely towards the end of July or early August 2024. However, it depends on the film’s box office run; if it does well, then a digit debut can be delayed. If the case is otherwise, then it might be released sooner.

While the exact date is yet to be confirmed, fans eagerly await its official announcement. Actress Sharvari Wagh expressed her excitement about the film’s performance. “Munjya is off to a flyer at the box office. And I have to admit that I’m over the moon right now. To have a big success under my belt is, of course, a huge confidence booster for me.” Stay tuned for more updates!

New Deadpool And Wolverine Poster Includes An Absolutely Disgusting Reference If You Look Closely

Potential censorship of Deadpool & Wolverine has been a conversation surrounding the film ever since the start of its development because of the fact that it's being made by Disney-owned Marvel Studios, but the truth of the matter is that we've seen zero indications of restrictions in everything we've seen from the blockbuster so far. There has been plenty of foul language and bloody violence in the trailers that have been released ("Let's f*cking go" being the key phrase in the most recent preview), and now even the new IMAX poster features a reference to what is arguably the grossest thing that has ever gone viral on the internet.

Ryan Reynolds posted the new promotional artwork on his personal Twitter account with the caption "This beast. In @IMAX … bring your own seatbelt. #DeadpoolAndWolverine July 26." Take a look at it below and see if you can find the tiny, nasty joke that's in it:

If you look closely, you'll see that the "IMAX" lettering in the poster sports a few stickers on it – and most of them are innocuous (the X-Men blackbird, a unicorn, cute script saying "Worsties," etc.). On The "I," however, you'll note a tiny square that says "2 Guys 1 Pup," and if you're old enough to understand that reference, you may have just thrown up in your mouth a little.

For those of you who don't get it, allow me to try and describe it delicately and save you the trouble of ruining your brain via Google search. In 2007, a video called "2 Girls 1 Cup" was widely shared online and became a kind of viral endurance test where people tried to see just how long they could sit through it before needing to shut down their computer, set it on fire, and then pour bleach in their eyes. It involve a pair of women... relieving themselves in a cup and then consuming the relievings.

Again, this is the subject of a joke in the marketing for a Disney-produced film. Wild.

If this is on the poster, just what kind of hardcore stuff are they saving for the film? The footage that was shown at CinemaCon certainly went all-out with jokes about cocaine, pegging, and sexual predators, so there don't appear to be any real content barriers (it's been rated R by the MPA for "for strong bloody violence and language throughout, gore and sexual references"). It will be one of the most fascinating things about the film to witness when Deadpool & Wolverine releases in theaters on July 26. Needless to say, it's one of our most anticipated films of the year – and you can check out what else is coming down the pike in the coming weeks and months with our 2024 Movie Release Calendar.

Director of new horror with near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score explains why it's important to support "arthouse" and "unusual" scary movies

It seems the most popular horror movies at the moment are all remakes, sequels, and prequels, or focus on themes we have seen before. Enter Stopmotion, the kind of "unusual, out there" film we don't see every day – and just the kind of movie genre fans should be supporting, says its director.

"It's very important," Robert Morgan tells GamesRadar+ in response to being asked what he thinks of movies like his being celebrated in the community. "If you think about making films like this, it's an unusual genre of film, it's kind of, it's out there."

Starring Aisling Franciosi (The Last Demeter, Speak No Evil), Stopmotion follows a young stop-motion animator named Ella Blake who, after spending her life in the shadow of her talented, late mother, finally finds artistic freedom and embarks on her own project. But things take a sinister turn when the bloody puppets from her film start to haunt her everyday life.

The movie has been a big hit with critics, earning an impressive 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics calling it "exhilaratingly" and "inventive." Viewers, on the other hand, are divided, which is reflected in its 48% audience score. Morgan thinks this is down to the movie not sitting "within the normal rhythms of a normal horror movie," and being "weird" and "introspective," falling in the "arthouse" category. "I know a lot of horror fans don't like that kind of thing," says Morgan. "But I think the people that really like it, really love it. I think when it speaks to people it really speaks to people."

But Stopmotion isn't the first experimental horror flick of recent times to get a mixed reception, as last year's Skinamarink received the same comments as well as Longlegs director Osgood Perkins' fantasy horror flick Gretel & Hansel.

Morgan says he was keen to make the movie, despite not being sure people would like it, and believes it is important to create films for smaller demographics to relate to, including stop motion artists. "I always felt like the process of stop motion animation could be really interesting to depict in a film. I've never seen that depicted in a movie," says the director. "I'm amazed that no one's done it, so I was very eager to do it."

Stopmotion will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and digital on July 1. Can't wait? The movie is available to stream right now on Shudder. For more, check out our list of the best horror movies on Shudder, or keep up with upcoming horror movies heading your way soon.

Hanks leads as Vietnam-generation teen Richard, while Wright plays his girlfriend and eventual wife Margaret. Through makeup and de-aging technology, the pair starts the film as teenagers and are well into their 80s by the end. Starring alongside them are Paul Bettany and Kelly Reilly as Richard’s parents, Michelle Dockery and Gwilym Lee as a couple in the early 1900s and David Fynn and Ophelia Lovibond as an inventor and pin-up model during the 1920s.

Zemeckis told Vanity Fair that he had “always been, for some reason, labeled as this visual effects guy,” but aims to fully embrace that title in “Here” to “show the audience things that they don’t see in real life.”

“It only works because the performances are so good,” Zemeckis said. “Both Tom and Robin understood instantly that, ‘Okay, we have to go back and channel what we were like 50 years ago or 40 years ago, and we have to bring that energy, that kind of posture, and even raise our voices higher. That kind of thing.”

“Here” hits theaters Nov. 15. Watch the trailer below.
