He was born on September 3, 1967, to Donna Marie (May) Miner and the late Wilbur Scott "Bud" Miner. He was employed by Mack Truck in Hagerstown, MD as an assembler for 19 years, and he enjoyed working there with his friends. Prior to that, he was a Fed-Ex driver, and he drove an ambulance for both West Shore EMS as well as County Medical Transport for 15 years where he was given the nickname "Skippy".
